Fashion block 2008, featuring the saint international model camp with a few visitors and a shit load of designs and designers both local and international. Overal the event was good. You got what you came for. Stunning and out of the ordinary fashion. The crowd was sick though. I'm not sure i've ever seen that much people before.. can you say football match kinda thing. so everybody is chocked up around the catwalk in knutsford boulevard new kingston, the business district was completely transformed to the fashion block.
I went there to cover the event as a photographer.. (freelancing) There was no media access and i had no idea how i was gonna get good shots.. However As the universe had it. My friend and I ended up right infront of the catwalk inside the baracade in the vip area. Talk about perseverance. I got some pretty good shots (see my fashion block album). However if i was granted access from early out and could get to like grap a proper spot where i could view the entire runway as the model struts that would be perfect... However I did get good shots.

this young lady is actually 15 years of age.. talk about potential imprisonment. Look at her you'ld have no idea. No wonder R.Kelly got in trouble. Jokes aside Quite a beautiful young woman. Of all the models she was my favourite the look and definitely the walk.

Yesterday was quite an exciting day. Red bull brought their F1 super kill the streets and destroy you eardrum with its deafening sound of pure raw power and speed car to Jamaica for an urban run in new kingston.What an event it was. The crowed was good. A little too thick for my liking to be honest imagine if 50 Fest wasn't taking place on the same day.. that would then mean that the 50fst crowed would have probably been at the f1 event as well. I didn't get great photos just okay ones. I'll have to learn to deal with a huge crowed as a photographer without press pass (i was just a normie no media access like usual).

The F1 car is definitely a sight to behold when in action though no television broadcast can deliver the experience of seeing it in real life. Thank God i got up off my ass and went. it was worth it. The street and rally cars were okay too but the real show stealer was the F1.. that was the reason why everybody came out. if you missed it too bad.

oh and the women.. Trust me.. the place was crawling with em.. T and A was everywhere.. and lots of it as in ample in each department. lol on quite a few of the women

Being the artsy person i am or rather the photographically interested person that I am there's no way that i can be perfectly fine i.e ,not sick or any thing like that and miss the Liguanea Art Festival. It kinda clashes with a photo shoot that i have the same day to be honest but.. I'll work something out. Cuz i really want to see what people take to the market place as professional photographers. Who are the big wigs that are gonna be buying photographs to hang on their walls left right and center and so on. Gotta form the necessarily links from now anyway, Hopefully I'll be able to run into the people that organized the event so i can see if I could maybe make it in next year.

The dates have been announced but the promotion aspect so far is week. I honestly dont think its too early for the promoters to be making the public aware. of the events and its dates.. Its already mid april.. so there's only one month left before summer break... Where are the ATI event listings? Oh and what about RTI redstripe temptation island? Sup with dat.

This weekend i have quite a few events to attend. Wish 2 of them were never being held though. first is my grandfathers funeral :( on saturday at 10 am. I've come to terms with his passing now but i just really wish he was still here with us. After that i a breather time then i should be hitting the miss jamaica universe pageant Which isnt' that enticing as the eye candi doesn't look that impressive this year. But its something for me to point my lens at.
On sunday I'll be attending the funeral of a really good friend from high school Errol "Gerri" Ross, Who was victim of a car accident along hope road. That road is so dangerous its not even funny. I"m not so sure of the time of that funeral as yet though. Relative to what i'll do with the rest of my sunday I'm not so sure either.

I got my new laptop today. The thing effing rules. its a dv6000, with all the multimedia goodness, webcam built in and built in speakers as well. the one flaw of all this is i need to sell my dell inspiron 6400 by tonight or i may lose the dv6000. :( but i'm a hustla so i'll make it happen. Wish me luck... Will post pictures of the new baby (laptop)
